You can use the " aspnet_setreg" to encrypt your <Identity>... take a look at the URL, below:

This solution works for Windows 7 too, except for the last 2 options (ISS Metabase, IIS 6 WMI) wich in Windows 7 are located under IIS 6 Management Compatibility

This did not work for me (home version may be the problem) I now have it running in a win2k VM (virtualbox) with no problems - quite happy with this solution .
